In December 2010 TD Financing Services purchased Chrysler Financial, surely with the intention of expanding into leasing also. On February 4th 2011, three white males, described as about 25 years of age, and driving a BMW convertible, stopped at a dealership in South Surrey. They expressed an interest in an Infinity and a salesperson assisted them by starting the motor. One of the males asked to see the smart key, and when the key was handed to him, drove away in the vehicle. The vehicle has since been reported stolen to the police. These same (more…)

Defuse the objection with empathy. Let the customer know that you understand how they feel, that you don’t like to be pressured when making buying decisions either. Urgent: Vancouver Police looking for dealer who was recent victim of Bait & Switch
In the month of October, the Vancouver Police have identified a suspect that has stolen five Escalades and attempted a sixth.
The suspect is an E/I male who brings along another male (sometimes E/I and heavy set and sometimes a W/M thin and gaunt). He asks to see the Escalades (not test Drive) and one male distracts the salesman while the key switch occurs. The suspects then return and steal the vehicle, stripping the wheels from the truck. Here’s a tip for business managers that refinance a customer’s automotive or RV loan within 90 days of the original purchase and finance contract signing…
Loans refinanced with the same lender within 90 days are subject to be paid NO dealer reserve OR at the best, the business manager will be paid the difference between what was paid as DR for the first loan and what will be paid as DR for the new, refinanced loan. (more…)
